I couldn't believe it!  The dream vacation of a lifetime had finally arrived, and it was real!  Waiting at Los Angeles International Airport, my excitement was quickly rising.  In two or three hours, we'd be lead to a bus that would bring us to the almighty ship herself.  To contain my excitement for those long hours, I got out my laptop and started typing a journal entry.

Well, it didn't take long for those hours to pass.  We ate lunch at the Encounter restaurant (a weird flying saucer building), and ran back to find a Carnival assistant wondering where we had gone.  She loaded us up into a charter bus, which took us to a big building right along the dock.  Beside it, there was the huge ship, waiting for us.  Unfortunately, we couldn't board right away.  We first had to wait in line to register.  It was a long line.

Waiting to board.

But, like all great things, this was worth waiting for.   Forward to next page ->
